Since sustainability, especially the environmental sustainability is the utmost concern of each and every living creature on earth, the onus of saving life on the planet lies equally on every shoulder. The process of achieving a sustainable built environment is very complex in nature. There are host of stakeholders with diagonally opposite interests. For a workable solution which may actually be implemented, all these aspects have to understood in detail. We are inviting specialists and other persons from various sections of society to become aware of their concerns and varied opinions on the problem. We have enlisted people who would be instrumental in bringing about radical changes in terms of decision making and implementation of steps to be taken in this direction.

  1. Politicians - Representatives of various National as well as Regional Parties of U.P. with the aim of sharing their vision regarding this problem.
  2. Bureaucrats – Since the implementation of actual solutions to the problem would be initiated at this level, bureaucrats and other decision makers need be sensitized. Policy formation, decision making and enforcement of laws regarding sustainability will be a success with active support from bureaucracy.
  3. N.G.O.’s and Social Organisations - A large number of social organisations and N.G.O.’s are already working actively on various aspects of environmental sustainability. Their representatives will give insights in the various problems and practicality of solutions. Mayors – The problems faced by any town are all too well known to it’s Mayor.
  4. Mayors of two – three cities in Uttar Pradesh would be the best to update us on the actual problems in detail and their implications.
  5. Central and State Govt. Agencies – There are number of central and State govt. agencies working in this field like, BEE, CBRI, TERI, IREDA, NEDA.etc.
