Currently the Managing Director of Gehry Technologies (Asia), Martin Riese has been keenly interested in the realisation of enhanced architectural design solutions through the integration of innovative technology, collaboration with other consultancies and working partnerships with the industry. An architect with 18 years experience in professional practice, he was a Project Director at Foster and Partners, where he worked for 10 years.

In Hong Kong, he completed the new Airport and was the Project Architect for a new train station. In London, he was the Project Director for two new office buildings. Previous to that he worked in Santiago Calatrava on the Satolas train station in Lyon, and the BCE Place Galleria in Toranto. He also worked at Bregman and Hamann and the Zeidler Partnership in Toranto ad in Germany.

In this lecture he talks about the information technology, the BIM technology and its application and specifically about some of his projects like One Island East that represents substantial implementations of  virtual 3D building life cycle management and the Bird’s Nest Stadium.
