There are millions of buildings and sutures worldwide where there has been construction cost over runs, lack of Owner's complete satisfaction, design errors, and/or improper functioning. The major reasons have been lack of clear and understandable communication between the Owner and Architect, the Architect and other Design professionals, the designers and construction Contractor, the Designers and Building Officials, and the Construction Inspectors. The lecture presents Prof. Roland Sharpe’s comments and opinions based on design involvement in all kinds of projects over some 60 years of professional practice.
